The wonder Project Week 9 - Final launch and blast off

This week the senior classes had another Wonder Project session, everyone was so happy because they haven't had a Wonder Project session in a very long time. My class got ready got ready when the bell rang after morning tea, some groups from my class had their wings off. My class and room 9 went over to room 8, it was a little squashy but everyone managed to fit in altogether, Mrs Shrestha asked Neha from room 8 to say her speech to Colm, Neha said her speech and after she gave Colm a present and a little bag. Mrs Shrestha showed Colm and a video of her class saying compliments to Colm and telling him how much he did and other nice things. Mrs Shrestha said that my class had something to show Colm too. Mrs Odean my teacher asked Keti if she could do her speech and give Colm our card my class made. Our card had pictures of Colm and the senior classes, and everyone in our class wrote a short nice letter to Colm. We went over the safety rules and then we made sure that the rockets that went the further the most was good. The classes went back to their class. My class didn't go to our class, my teacher leaded us to Keith Hay Park and we got ready and prepared.

Everyone in my class sat down and my teacher asked a group to come up. We cheered and clapped, everyone counted down from 5 and shouted blast off. After it was my group's turn my group 45 PSI and for the water level it was 250. Everyone counted down from 5 and we shouted blast off. We cheered and clapped, when the rocket landed Mayank got a yellow flag and ran to where our bottle and placed the flag and Mayank took the bottle. When everyone got a turn the teachers and some students measured how far each team's bottle went with the flags, they got a measuring tape and measured it. Everyone got their turn so everyone packed up and safely got back into the school. When every class got back into their classes people in my class wrote up how long our rocket's went, my group's rocket was 27.30 m the group that went the most further was the five missioners. Their flag was blue and their rocket went up to 37.30 m. The rocket Inqu got the same as us and their flag was red. Thank you for reading my blog!

My teacher really wanted my class to do something fun. So she wanted my class to create our own Tane Mahuta art on google drawing, we also did trees and mountains. My teacher said that we could do a beautiful view or a sun set or any background. Here is mine I hope you guys like it!

The wonder Project - Week 7 modification

 Hello World Of Bloggers,

This week on Tuesday for The Wonder Project the senior classes and my class had another Wonder Project session but this time the senior class and my class didn't meet in the hall or in room 9. Each class stayed in their own classes and my class was talking about how each group was going to improve on our rockets. My group glued on our wings because they fell off, my teacher saw that my group's nose cone was cricket so she told us that we needed to take of our nose cone off and put it on again but straight. When we were done my teacher then noticed that one of our wings wasn't the same length as our other two wings so my group had to take one of our wings of and glue it back on but it had to be the same length as the other two wings. Me and Sacha waited for our turn to glue our wing back on, we measured it to make sure that it was the same length as the other two wings. After we were done we checked if everything on our rocket was done, we saw that nothing was wrong my group talked about what was going to be our PSI and what was going to be our water level. After we talked about what were the rules and everything we learnt.

My Unbelievable Boat Animation

Today my class made an animation on google slides. This is my one, I hope you like it. It would be great if you guys would give me some information and improve on my animation.

 

The Extraordinary Artist

One day there lived a young teenager named George. He wanted to draw a ship and make it come to life so he pushed all his homework away and focused on drawing his ship. After spending hours, night, and days of drawing his ship George finally finished drawing and sketching his masterpiece. He stood up and took a few steps behind and looked at his art work proudly, he had never been so proud of himself. After taking a look at his art work George did his magic and said his magic word, a huge strong gust of wind fluttered through his room, George was scared of the wind but was so happy to see his magic words work.

 George adored this moment, he loved seeing his beautiful amazing creations come to life. George’s ship became bigger and bigger until it stopped right at his knee, he couldn’t be any happier. George then wanted to draw a bear for his little sister Leah. George was excited to see his sister’s reaction, the next day George got all his sketch pencils out and got his textured paper out and he started straight away without talking to his friends. He saw his sister walk into his room, he quickly hid his art work under his bed the moment his sister walked in his sister asked what he was doing and George said that he just finished his homework.

 Leah then said okay and walked out the room, George was nearly done so he was happy but when he took out his art work from under his bed he saw that his art work was smushed. George was devastated to see his art work smushed he felt tears coming down from his eyes. He wiped it away and then decided to make a new one. George was sad but didn’t want it to ruin the time after hours and nights he finally finished, he did his magic and the teddy bear came to life. He gave his teddy bear to Leah, Leah was so happy and hugged him, he was happy that Leah liked his teddy bear.

Wonder project - Test flight launch 2

This week for The Wonder Project my class and me and the senior classes had another Wonder Project session. After morning tea all the senior classes gathered up in room 9 and we then watched a video about what was Newton's third law and it was about reaction and action. After that Mrs Eagleson and the teachers from each class picked a student to volunteer to blow a balloon. My teacher Mrs Odean picked Leah and Ahmed and Mrs Shrestha picked Elijah and Jeziah and Mrs Eagleson picked Mila and Martha. When they blew the balloons Leah was shy so Mrs Odean picked Lovely to blow the balloon. After they were done they made sure that each balloon was the same size as the other balloon. Everyone counted down from 3 and the volunteers let go of their balloon, we cheered and clapped and Mila's balloon was small but went the highest. Then the next round Elijah and Jeziah's balloons had to be large and big and Ahmed and Lovely's balloons had to be medium and Martha and Mila's balloon's had to be small.

When we counted down from 3 everyone of the volunteers let go of their balloon and Elijah's balloon went the highest and touched the ceiling, Lovely's balloon nearly touched the ceiling. Everyone went over the rules again in case no one doesn't remember the rules. We also went over the safety rules, we then went back to our class rooms and my class room got everything we needed and walked to keith hay park. After that we got ready and we got ready to test launch our rocket we cheered and clapped, when it was my group's turn my group and I decided to put the water level up to 350 ml and the PSI was 30. We then counted down from 3 and when the bottle went up we clapped and cheered. Then the second time my group did the water level the same and the PSI was 40. We then counted down from 3 and cheered and clapped. After that everyone went back into school and play.

The Wonder Project - Aerodynamics Week 5

Today this week me & my class and the senior classes had another lesson & it was about aerodynamics again but this time it was about balance and fixing up some mistakes we did. Everyone got told to get into their groups and talk about what what we learnt last week and the week before after we were we watched a video then Mrs Odean came up to the stage to tell us more further information about aerodynamics. Our class went to class and our teacher showed us the steps. First our step was to get a piece of string and make your rocket balance then we would tie up and get a vivid to mark it. Then a the other step was to trace your rocket around cardboard and cut it out. Me, Sacha, Mayank, Mehdi, and Amelia helped each other get the string to the middle of the bottle and trace. After that me and my group made sure the fins were equal and then we took of the tapes on the wing and then hot glued it. Then I traced the bottle while Sacha was holding it. After that me and Sacha then cut around the piece of cardboard after we were done we put it in the black box and we were done.
